World Taekwon-do Federation Taekwon-do is a Korean Martial Art turned sport that has grown globally since the foundation of the World Taekwon-do Federation in 1973. The WTF is an international federation consisting of 169 national Taekwon-do governing bodies as its members. It and its members have been the fighting force in pushing Taekwon-do into the Olympics. Globalization has meant that all Kup or Dan qualifications gained in an affiliated and Taekwon-do is recognised World wide. European Taekwon-do Union Founded on May 2nd 1976 the ETU is the official governing body on all Taekwon-do matters in Europe. It consists of the National Taekwon-do Federations of all European member nations and regulates all Taekwon-do matters on a continental basis. First participating countries: Spain, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Denmark and Great Britain. British Taekwon-do Control Board Slough Taekwon-do Club has been a member of the BTCB, since its formation in 1982. Chief Instructor, Robbie Lazan is a registered BTCB Instructor and STC adheres to all rules and guidelines outlined by the BTCB and aims to promote traditional Korean Taekwon-do in line with the BTCB code of Conduct; Pung Saeng High School Slough Taekwon-do Club has built strong ties with the Pung Saeng High School. Over a period of 17 years many STC members have traveled to Songnam, Korea to train along side generations of Pung Saeng students selected for the High School Taekwon-do Team. Not only has each STC student come away with a better understanding of the dynamic 2000 year old Art, but also cultivated long standing friendships that have lasted for more than a decade.
